This is Cody, a Miniature Goldendoodle, photographed on October 21st, 2025. He does not make a very good cat for numerous reasons, and as such, he has been awarded 1/5 stars for his performance.
First, notice how he is stuck on top of a chair with his adorable paws making tiny indents in the cushion. While it is cute, a proper cat would never get stuck on something that’s not even half a meter high. I observed him for a further 10 minutes, and he still would not move from his position. He only bothered to move to occasionally look at me and slightly adjust his stance. Only from a different floor, yet another 10 minutes later, did I finally witness Cody work up the courage to hop down from his perch. This is most assuredly unlike any cat I have seen. A more refined cat than he would’ve stepped down from the chair with so much grace that you can’t even tell they are moving.
Notice how in this photo, he is panting despite exerting no effort whatsoever: another rookie mistake by our young friend here. While it is very cute and derpy to have your tongue hanging out like that, in this case, it actually makes you seem much further from being a cat. It is actually quite reminiscent of a dog. Another weirdly dog-esque feature that Cody seems to exhibit is his massive, floppy ears. I have never seen a cat with ears that large; whoever his caretaker is, they should probably get him checked out. If he is going to properly compete as a cat, he needs to take care of his health first and foremost.
While some more small critiques and praises to be given, I believe that to be a sufficient explanation for his CR (cat rating). I wish Cody good luck with his other competitions. I do hope he finds a different category to compete in, as he might find dog categories more suitable to his “unique” skillset.
